A Point in Time: Oregon Trail

In 1842 Elijah white, a missionary for the Methodist church and appointed sub-agent of Indian Affairs by the U.S. government, took it upon himself to start a mission across the great reaches of the nation and started the first emigration to Willamette Valley across what would later be known as The Oregon Trail. In this long awaited installment of A Point in Time, we follow the Ottman family as they join the mission in search for new beginnings in the West. Though some events and characters are fictional, the story is supported by primary sources from this mission, some of which are characters in the story itself.
