Manufacturing: AI agents optimize production, predict equipment failures, and manage supply chains, coordinating robots and machines. The future of AI is about agents with the capacity to innovate and that requires building trust through explainability and infrastructure. AI organizations will be capable of wide-ranging action and will be able to self-select which goals are optimal and design a path to getthere. We will cover how AI agents are being used in manufacturing, including howvirtual AI agents enhance digital systems andembodied AI agents equip robots to act in the physical environment. We look at AI’s role in real-time decision-making, near-autonomous systems and seamlesshuman-machine collaboration. While there are challenges, like trust and integrating legacy systems, the potential for AI agents to revolutionize manufacturing is immense.
