Art is not only for culture, education and communication; art also has healing powers. Recent challenges of Covid have placed additional strains on mental health, but artistic practices, including both visual art and music, have much potential to contribute to positive mental health in our local community. This program draws attention to local artists who can inspire others to find out more or join in themselves. Art Layers with Hornsby Art Society (HAS) aims to promote Visual Arts in the local Hornsby community.
Hornsby Art Society Committee member Jenny Rowley and Australian immigrant Adrianna Hincapie share stories of creativity, perseverance, and environmental passion in the face of language and cultural barriers.
