Hola genté and welcome to the first episode of Casa los Creativos the PODCAST!! I am so excited to be starting this collective. If you don’t know anything about Casa los Creativos let me start by introducing myself. I am Emely. I am the founder of Casa los Creativos which is a collective of creatives of all kinds. In January I decided to start this collective with the desire of forming community and connecting others and myself with an array of Creative folks. Two years ago I entered the art world when I was working as an educator at an art museum. I found myself comparing myself creative abilities to amazingly talented fine artist and felt like their creativity was unmatched. What I have come to learn is that creativity isn’t limited to fine art. We are all creative beings and we each have unique outlets that allow our creativity to shine. Each month we will be featuring a Creative to share their craft and story with us. Today I am talking with Jo from Jo’s body shop. 9 and a half months ago, Georgia came back to visit her hometown in CO with all the intention of traveling back to London where she dreams of living. Quickly things changed as the pandemic kept her from traveling and she found herself living back in the place she grew up. Not sure what her next steps were, she took a huge leap and invested her last pay check into buying bulk supplies to start Jo's Body Shop.
