What do we all have in common?
Every one of us will face death.
But here’s the truth that changes everything:
Jesus has power over death.
In this message, we walk through John 11—the story of Lazarus—and see what happens when Jesus steps into a situation that feels completely final. When hope is gone… when God seems late… when the outcome feels sealed…
Jesus is still in control.
In This Message:
✔ Why Jesus sometimes delays—and why that doesn’t mean He doesn’t care
✔ How God works even when it feels too late
✔ What it means that Jesus is the resurrection and the life
✔ How faith and grief can exist at the same time
✔ The reality that Jesus has authority over death itself
Key Scriptures:
John 11:1–44
2 Peter 3:9
Psalm 34:18
Matthew 28:6
1 Corinthians 15:55
2 Corinthians 1:9
Big Idea:
What looks final to you… is not final to God.
Lazarus walked out of the grave.
Jesus walked out of the tomb.
And because of that—death doesn’t get the last word in your story.
Next Steps:
👉 Do you believe this?
👉 Where do you need resurrection in your life?
👉 Will you trust Jesus with what feels final?
If this message encouraged you, like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs hope today.
The grave doesn’t win.
Fear doesn’t win.
Sin doesn’t win.
Jesus wins.

Jesus Has Authority When We Feel Stuck | John 5 & 6 Sermon
Ever feel stuck?
Stuck in habits you can’t break…
Stuck in situations you can’t change…
Stuck doing the wrong things when you know what matters most…
You’re not alone.
In John 5 and John 6, we see two powerful moments where people are completely stuck—one for 38 years, and another facing an impossible situation with no solution.
And in both cases, the same truth rises to the surface:
Jesus has authority where we feel stuck.
In This Message:
✔ Why we often stay stuck longer than we need to
✔ How our mindset can keep us trapped
✔ Why Jesus confronts excuses instead of comforting them
✔ How God uses what’s already in your hand
✔ The key to moving forward when life feels impossible
Key Scriptures:
John 5:1–15
John 6:1–14
Philippians 2:13
Big Idea:
We get stuck in what we cannot fix…
But Jesus has authority over what we cannot change.
Whether you’ve been stuck for years…
or you’re facing something overwhelming right now…
Jesus is not stuck.
How Do You Get Unstuck?
👉 Be honest about where you’re stuck
👉 Bring Jesus what’s in your hand
👉 Take the step He’s calling you to take
Challenge:
What excuses have you been holding onto?
What step is Jesus asking you to take today?
If this message encouraged you, like, subscribe, and share it with someone who feels stuck right now.
When we are stuck… Jesus is not.

The 4 Chairs of Discipleship | Becoming a Disciplemaker | Like Jesus – The Model (Week 8)
Like Jesus – The Model | Week 8
In this final message of the Like Jesus – The Model series, Pastor DJ Grick teaches how Jesus trained His followers to become disciplemakers who multiply disciples.
Using the “4 Chairs” discipleship framework, we explore the progression of spiritual growth—from seekers who are curious about Jesus to believers who ultimately become spiritual parents helping others follow Christ.
Looking at Luke 10, we see how Jesus sent His followers out to practice the mission. Rather than trying to reach the world alone, Jesus trained disciples who would reach others, creating a movement of multiplication.
This message challenges us to ask an important question:
Are we simply following Jesus, or are we helping others follow Him too?
Healthy disciple-making can be messy—much like parenting—but it is the way Jesus designed His mission to grow.
Key Bible Passages
Luke 10:1–11 — Jesus sends out the seventy-two
Luke 10:17–21 — The disciples return with joy
Luke 6:40 — “Everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.”
John 15:14–16 — Jesus calls His followers to go and bear lasting fruit
Ephesians 6 — Standing firm against the attacks of the enemy
The 4 Chairs of Discipleship
Chair 1 — Come and See (Seekers who need to know God)
Chair 2 — Follow Me (Believers discovering freedom)
Chair 3 — Fishers of Men (Workers discovering purpose)
Chair 4 — Disciplemakers who multiply the mission of Jesus
Jesus modeled how to equip disciplemakers who make more disciplemakers.
Series: Like Jesus – The Model
This series explores how Jesus made disciples and how we can follow His model today.
