Allah SWT berfirman: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ Hai orang-orang yang beriman, diwajibkan atas kalian berpuasa, sebagaimana puasa itu pernah diwajibkan atas orang-orang sebelum kalian, agar kalian bertakwa (TQS al-Baqarah [2]: 183).

Sebabnya, hikmah ibadah shaum selama sebulan penuh justru untuk menguatkan dan menaikkan derajat kita ke level takwa (QS al-Baqarah [2]: 183).</p> <p>Bisyr al-Hafi, seorang ulama shalih, suatu saat berkata, “Seburuk-buruk kaum adalah yang tidak mengenal hak Allah, kecuali hanya pada bulan Ramadhan saja.
