You may have heard about the five stages of grief that are meant to help us live with loss, but I don't believe this process is so linear, and each situation regarding death requires a unique, dynamic approach. My father died when I was nine years old and I had difficulty finding someone to talk or relate to. Resources were limited and I struggled with the aftermath of his passing for a long time. I hope that someone listening can take something with them and apply it to their situation to better their relationship with grief.
