AI, Algorithms, social media bans, scrolling, cancelling, echo chambers, representation. The fake, the real, the filtered in-between.
Honestly, where would we be without social media? It’s got solid highs and crash-and-burn lows - but hey, let’s figure it out together at Dear Digital Future - brought to you by Project Rockit’s National Youth Collective.

Is anything real anymore? Are we our authentic selves online, or is it all a production? In this final two-part episode we discuss the continuum from authenticity through to fakeness online. Is it all fake news and fads? We unpack the way we use filters, our a algorithms ability to share things we don't share with anyone on reddit, bias in the smallest and largest parts of our online lives and what role do we play in all of this? And we ask - how can we make it better.
Hansika, Vedrana & Olivia share their experiences, expectations and expose the challenge of living an authentic life online.

Kindness/Hate
We see some of the best parts of humanity supporting and helping each other through digital technology, but we also see the worst and most awful aspects of who we are online. How do we balance all of that? How do we make sense of all of this existing in the same online space? What can we do to combat hate and ultimately be kinder both online - and off.
In this episode of Dear Digital Future, Rispah, Rehan and Jovia discuss the challenges of bringing kindness to the fore in online systems that sometimes feel like they encourage and preference hate.

Adriel, Konan and Fiona delve into their complex digital lives to see where things get easier and more manageable. How do we make technology work for us and not overwhelm and confuse us unnecesserily?
