ANSIEDADE DOS JOVENS NA PANDEMIA DE COVID-19
Uma revisão recente de 29 pesquisas concluiu que os sintomas de ansiedade e depressão entre crianças e adolescentes dobraram após o início da pandemia de coronavírus. Uma em cada quatro crianças e adolescentes ouvidos em estudo da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (USP) apresentou ansiedade e depressão durante a pandemia com níveis clínicos - ou seja, com necessidade de intervenção de especialistas. A proporção de jovens que pensou em parar de estudar cresceu muito durante a pandemia no Brasil. Além disso, as dificuldades impostas pela crise sanitária causam impactos acentuados na saúde física e mental de pessoas de 15 a 29 anos no país. Os sintomas de ansiedade generalizada na juventude se manifestam como preocupação, medo e traumas incontroláveis. Incertezas, interrupções nas rotinas diárias e preocupações com a saúde e o bem-estar da família e entes queridos durante a pandemia de covid-19 estão provavelmente associadas a aumentos na ansiedade generalizada na juventude. os pesquisadores identificaram que as taxas de prevalência foram mais elevadas do que a média em adolescentes mais velhos e do sexo feminino. Só é importante destacar que sintomas depressivos ou ansiosos não são sinônimo de depressão ou transtorno de ansiedade generalizada. Esse diagnóstico depende de vários critérios, e é individualizado.
