memento STALINGRAD
Im Rahmen der an der Technischen Universität Chemnitz 2025 veranstalteten Tagung: “memento STALINGRAD – Multiperspektivische Betrachtungen der Geschichte, Rezeption und Aktualität einer Schlacht” fand eine Podiumsdiskussion zwischen dem Historiker Jörg Baberowski und dem Sozialpsychologen Harald Welzer statt. Immer wieder von der Schlacht um Stalingrad ausgehend und zu ihr zurückkehrend, standen im Fokus der Veranstaltung – in ständiger Rückkopplung an aktuelle weltpolitische Geschehnisse – Verhandlungen von Themen wie Erinnerungskultur und Umgang mit den Phänomenen Krieg und Gewalt sowie des ‘Nutzens und Nachteils der Historie für das Leben‘.

Krieg und Frieden - im Gespräch mit Viktor Jerofejew
Im Juni dieses Jahres fand an der TU Chemnitz eine interdisziplinäre Tagung zum Thema Stalingrad statt. Am Vorabend der Veranstaltung war der russische Schriftsteller Viktor Jerofejew zu einem Abend über „Krieg und Frieden“ eingeladen. Das Podcast-Spezial präsentiert einen Mitschnitt dieser außergewöhnlichen Veranstaltung. Eugen Wenzel, Organisator der Tagung, und Jakob Kullik aus der Politikwissenschaft führen durch den Abend. Zunächst wird ein Auszug aus "Der Große Gopnik" von Christoph Grube gelesen. Anschließend diskutieren Wenzel und Kullik mit Viktor Jerofejew über Krieg, Frieden und die gegenwärtige weltpolitische Lage. Jerofejews intime Kenntnis Russlands und seine langjährige literarische Auseinandersetzung mit den politischen Verwerfungen seines Landes verleihen dem Gespräch besondere Tiefe und Aktualität.
