About Ecumene
The first seven ecumenical councils- recognised by most branches of Christianity- were an attempt in classical antiquity to find a universal doctrine that could unite all Christians. But what were these councils? Why were they needed? That's what this show will cover. Over the course of seven episodes, we'll explore the issues that brought the councils into existence in the first place, the discussions and debates, before winding up with the decisions that came from them. On hold for now!
