Australia Is Probably Doomed!!! Here's Why So Many People Miss the Warning Signs

What if the greatest curse a nation can have isn't poverty... but wealth?

Emeka shares a deeply personal story of growing up in a country devastated by war—where diamonds lay beneath the ground while families burned above it. But this isn't just a story about Africa. It's about the hidden pattern that has destroyed nations throughout history.

In this episode, you'll discover:

Why some of the richest countries become the poorest.

How greed can turn natural resources into weapons.

The shocking connection between Sierra Leone's Blood Diamonds and Australia's gas industry.

Why Norway became one of the wealthiest nations on Earth while others fell into the "resource curse."

The dangerous lie every nation tells itself: "It could never happen here."

This isn't a conversation about politics. It's a conversation about incentives, leadership, and the decisions that shape the future of entire nations.

Produced by Appointed Media. The Emeka Edwin Show. Australian politics, policy, sovereignty and the systems nobody else will explain.

'The Lucky Country' Was Never A Compliment

Australia is one of the richest countries in the world. You have heard it. I have heard it. Everybody has heard it. The lucky country, we call ourselves.

Except the phrase does not actually mean what most Australians think it means.

The phrase came from a bloke named Donald Horne. And when he wrote it, he was not praising Australia. He was criticising it. He was saying Australia succeeds despite its leadership, not because of it. Which raises a much darker question. If we have spent decades repeating a phrase without actually asking what it meant, what else have we been repeating without checking?

Because if Australia really is as rich as we keep telling ourselves, why is every conversation these days a survival conversation? Rent, mortgage, groceries, power bills, interest rates. Where is the wealth actually going?

In this episode I follow the rabbit hole. Norway. Alaska. Sovereign wealth funds. The Australian Future Fund and why it is basically a joke. What it means to dig up an inheritance versus what it means to capture the value of one. And a question every Australian should be asking out loud.

Produced by Appointed Media. The Emeka Edwin Show. Australian politics, policy, sovereignty and the systems nobody else will explain.

Why You're Earning More And Feeling Poorer Every Year | EUS2E08

Emeka Unfiltered | EUS2E08

You are earning more than you ever have. So why does life feel harder than it ever has?

Everyone I speak to lately says the same thing. My income went up. My life did not. Rent, groceries, tolls, mortgages, insurance, power bills. Everything climbing at once. And a pay rise that got swallowed before it even landed in the bank account.

At first glance it does not make any sense. If you are earning more, you should feel wealthier. That is how the maths is supposed to work. Except that is not what Australians are actually experiencing.

In this episode I unpack why. Why revenue is not profit. Why growth is not wealth. Why activity is not productivity. Why one of my own businesses generated more than twenty million dollars in revenue and still lost more than three million in a single year. And why exactly the same pattern is playing out at a national level in Australia.

If you have been following this season so far, this is where the bucket analogy starts hitting home.

Watch the full episode and share it with one person who is quietly wondering the same thing.

WATCH ON YOUTUBE

https://youtu.be/fbXBdhs4-N8

SUPPORT THE WORK

https://www.patreon.com/cw/emekaedwinshow

WEBSITE

https://edwinnweze.com
