Review: Age of Revolution 1789-1848
Eric Hobsbawn was a britain, Marxist historian and Communistn. He left behind an astonishing body of work, spanning the
years 1789-1991 and a vocabulary that revolutionized the study of modern history. Whose
comprehensive and systematic work in epistemology (the theory of knowledge), ethics, and
aesthetics greatly influenced all subsequent philosophy. I have thus inaugurated a new era
in the development of thought with the published “Age of Revolution” in 1962.
