Initially pastored by Travis Chumley at Blairs Creek Baptist Church, he was then mentored by Mark Sutton at Fairview Baptist Church in his teenage years, including his early 20s. Recently Pastored by Kyle Prichard at The Hill Church, and after leaving due to unforeseen circumstances including a conflict of beliefs, he now calls Arrowhead Church of Morristown under Pastor Ben Shoun home. He was saved at the age of eleven at New Canaan Baptist Church and baptized by Travis Chumley at the age of eleven at Blairs Creek Baptist Church. His ministry work before Evangelism Ministries involved singing with the church choir and, once called to preach at age sixteen, visited many local churches to preach the good news of Jesus. As an adult, he spent two years at Clear Creek Baptist Bible College before creating Evangelism Ministries at the age of twenty-seven. He is the Founder and Owner of Evangelism Ministries. Guided by God, he is responsible for organizing and preparing content for our &ldquo;Evangelism Ministries Podcast&rdquo; series, &ldquo;Spoken Word&rdquo; poetry series, and &ldquo;Weekly Devotional&rdquo; series.</p> <p> </p> <p>Katie Louthen</p> <p> </p> <p>Coming from a mainly Southern Baptist background, she has been involved in church all of her life from a very young age. Initially pastored by Robbie Drennon at Mountainview Baptist Church, she was then mentored in her teenage years and up to recently by her former pastor Bob Neal at Piedmont Baptist Church. Now she calls Arrowhead Church of Morristown under Pastor Ben Shoun her home. She was saved and baptized by Dewayne Whittington at the age of ten at Mountainview Baptist Church. Her ministry work before Evangelism Ministries involved being the light in her high school years by always carrying her bible and actively reaching out to her peers about Jesus, as well as taking part in a mission trip to Washington D.C. As an adult, she taught Wednesday night youth class at Piedmont Baptist Church as well as Bible School. She is the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Evangelism Ministries. Guided by God, she is responsible for organizing and preparing content for our &ldquo;Evangelism Ministries Podcast&rdquo; series, &ldquo;Discovering the Bible&rdquo; podcast series, and &ldquo;Weekly Bible Study&rdquo; series.</p> <p> </p> <p>=========================</p> <p> </p> <p>:: Motto ::</p> <p> </p> <p>"Jesus Over Religion"</p> <p> </p> <p>We live in a world where Christians can't separate religion from a true relationship with Jesus. Rules override relationships, clicks within the church are more important than convictions from God, and the ones with control are those who contribute the most financially. We decided to step away from churches that use God as a crutch to push rules and regulations instead of a loving, one on one relationship with Jesus and take that message all over the world.</p> <p> </p> <p>========================</p> <p> </p> <p>:: Mission Statement ::</p> <p> </p> <p>"To teach people that a relationship with Jesus is more important than traditions."</p> <p> </p> <p>=========================</p> <p> </p> <p>:: Beliefs ::</p> <p> </p> <p>As members of Arrowhead Church have the same beliefs as the church itself.</p> <p> </p> <p>1.) The Bible</p> <p> </p> <p>The Bible is inspired by God, and it is the revelation of Him to man. It is fully authoritative and without error. We can trust it in every circumstance and situation. It provides the foundation for all other doctrines and practices. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21.)</p> <p> </p> <p>2.) God</p> <p> </p> <p>God has always existed in perfect power and holiness. He is Creator of the universe, and He rules over every aspect of creation still today. He exists in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4)</p> <p> </p> <p>3.) Jesus Christ</p> <p> </p> <p>Jesus Christ is God's Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man. He lived a perfect life, died on a cross, and after three days, He defeated sin and death and rose from the grave. He will return one day to rule and reign. (Colossians 1:13-22)</p> <p> </p> <p>4.) The Holy Spirit</p> <p> </p> <p>The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He works in the world to make all people understand their need for Jesus Christ, and He indwells every believer from the time of salvation. He empowers Christians to live a supernatural life. (Genesis 1:2, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 1:13-14)</p> <p> </p> <p>5.) Salvation</p> <p> </p> <p>Because of our sinful nature, man cannot enter into heaven no matter how good of a life he may have lived. Jesus Christ came to earth to take the punishment for sin, and our only hope for salvation is faith in the truth that Jesus died for our sin and made a way for us to gain the righteousness it takes to enter heaven. (Genesis 3, Romans 3:10-23, Romans 6:23, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 2:8-9)</p> <p> </p> <p>6.) The Church</p> <p> </p> <p>The Bible teaches that the universal Church is the body of Christ in the world today. A local church is made up of baptized followers of Jesus Christ, gathered for worship and scattered to serve. The church should live out the mission of Christ as His body, taking the gospel to the community and the world around them. The church is led by a group of men known as elders or pastors, who serve as spiritual leaders and shepherds. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:41-47, Colossians 1:18, 1 Peter 5:1-5)</p> <p> </p> <p>7.) Baptism</p> <p> </p> <p>Baptism is an act of obedience for every believer. We practice baptism by immersion, symbolizing the imagery of salvation through Jesus - that our old selves have been crucified and buried, and that we now live in new life by the power of His resurrection.
