Sherwood Trust presents Everyday Equity and Empathy Community Learning Experience Sherwood Trust presents a series of free community public discussions focused on equity and empathy. The first event in the four-part series took place on April 16th highlighted racial equity and healing. This podcast shares ideas from this community workshop. Christopher) was the keynote speaker for the April 16 event. She is an award-winning change agent widely recognized for designing holistic strategies for social change. She is the former Senior Advisor and Vice President of the W K Kellogg Foundation and past Executive Director of The Institute for Government Innovation at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Local guest speakers on the podcast include Guillermo Corro, a volunteer with the Walla Walla Immigrant Rights Coalition and Teri Barila from Community Resilience. Racial Healing is the first community learning session in a four-part series titled “Everyday Equity and Empathy.” Following the April 16 event on racial equity, the series will include rural leadership June 16, transformation through arts and culture September 16, and civic engagement November 16. Sherwood Trust workshops are free and open to the community.
