07 Creating A Business Network

Neil began his BNI journey seventeen years ago and has been a Director Consultant for the last ten years.</p> <p>Neil was born in Lambeth, London and grew up by the sea in Westcliff, in a very caring family who taught him that nothing was impossible.</p> <p>Neil, is a strong believer that formal education isn’t always synonymous to success. Neil and school just didn’t really mix, and so at the age of 15 he got a job in Hatton Garden, learning to make and sell Jewellery. Here, Neil honed his craft, in the hustle and bustle of working hard for an honest living.</p> <p>Two and a half years later, Neil moved into his Mum’s mailing house business, alongside his brother and Dad, helping small blue-chip clients gain a great service for their advertising. Upon their parent’s retirement, Neil and his brother took over the family business, which had now grown to over 50 staff and continued the business until March 2018 when they took the decision to close the business due to his brother’s mental health struggle. A sad but liberating end/new start for them both….</p> <p>Neil then turned his attention to helping businesses grow and get a great response, by offering a listening ear and thirty plus years of running a mailing house, hence “Stuff The Rest” was born. A company which helps good business people become better business people across the board.</p> <p>Neil is Director Consultant in Herts and interim Managing Area Director in Nottingham and Lincs and loves supporting and training BNI members. Neil also speaks on Business Development and Mental Health in Business around the UK</p> <p>He lives in London with his lovely wife Lisa, who he met age seventeen. They have two daughters, Lauren (22) who graduated with a 1st in mechanical engineering, and Jess (19) who graduated as a qualified chef from Kingsway college = SO PROUD.
