<p>La vida del escritor, guionista y director norteamericano Dalton Trumbo (1905-1976) es fascinante. Acusado de ser comunista por el Comité de Actividades Estadounidenses, Trumbo prefirió ser marginado de la industria del cine con tal de preservar su integridad junto a otros nueve compañeros, conocidos entonces como los Diez de Hollywood. Para ganarse la vida, Trumbo siguió escribiendo bajo seudónimo, o usaba el nombre de sus amigos y ellos cobraban los cheques. Suyos son los clásicos del cine Roman Holiday (1953) y Johnny Got His Gun (1971), basada en su novela del mismo nombre (1939).
