FairyFrens Podcast: EP15 The Land Of Orderyn

Welcome to the world of FairyFrens! In this episode, we delve into Orderyn, a fascinating and unique land within the F-A3 solar system, located on the planet LEYS.Discover Orderyn, a non-magical land defined by strict structure, reason, and scientific progress. The people of Orderyn live in a structured and industrialised society governed by constrained rules and laws, where they only believe in proven sciences and proven knowledge and reject the idea of magic altogether. Their culture is described as emotionally detached, and they perceive time as structured linear time.Learn about the contrasting relationship between Orderyn and the magical land of Lumiin, also on LEYS. Interestingly, only Lumiin knows about Orderyn, while the people in Orderyn are completely unaware of the magical beings and happenings in Lumiin. This highlights the division between different ways of understanding the world and the themes of balance between logic and creativity. We'll also touch upon the OR-Grid, a network that connects Orderyn and Lumiin and can affect both realms if disrupted.Meet Jon Lennox, a key character from Orderyn. He's a skeptic, rational, and regimented physics student with a dry sense of humour and a practical worldview. His journey often brings the logical world of Orderyn into contact with the imagination and magic of Lumiin, creating a dynamic exploration of these contrasting worldviews. Just like our own world's reliance on reason, Orderyn represents a society built on science and order, completely oblivious to the magical realm beside it.Join us as we explore the foundations of Orderyn and its pivotal role in the FairyFrens universe, where the conflict and potential balance between the logic of Orderyn and the imagination and magic of Lumiin take centre stage.
