<p>This is a personal, candid account of my life as a mother and miner in Queensland Australia. I share the reasons, my experiences, my sacrifiices and how I made family, friends and tonnes work. </p> <p>I include many anecdotes to highlight mining culture issues, barriers to women's progression and how a mining crew can work together to form a work family beyond all biases. There is a very human side to the dangerous work we do.</p> <p>Also in these podcasts will be honest advice for new miners and a look at how community, resilience, and humor shaped my career and that eventually became my life.</p> <p>Hopefully you will meet some of my fellow miners and learn their stories and their community hopes and achievements beyond the mining pit.</p>
