There are different types of natural disasters, like hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, and wildfires. These things can be really scary, but there are things we can do to be safe. The first thing to do is to learn about the natural disasters that might happen where you live. You can ask your parents or teacher to help you find out. Once you know what might happen, you can make a plan to be ready. One thing you can do is have a plan for what to do if you need to leave your home. This is called an evacuation plan. You can talk with your family about where you would go if you had to leave and what you would bring with you, like clothes, food, and water. Another thing you can do is prepare your home. You can make sure that things like windows and doors are strong and that things outside are tied down so they don't blow away in a storm. It's also important to have supplies ready in case of a natural disaster. You can ask your parents to help you gather things like water, food, a first aid kit, and flashlights. Make sure you have enough for everyone in your family for at least three days. If you hear that there might be a natural disaster coming, it's important to stay informed.
