In Saginaw County, health concerns are on the rise. Current top three health priorities for 2020, has stated mental health, obesity, and infant mortality are the main focus. In recent, the data shows in Saginaw County, 11.7 percent of adults are getting the right amount of fruits and vegetables.The increase of food deserts in the area may be playing a role in this as well, as people are relying on corner/party stores for meals trying to make their dollar last.
