Season 1: RiftKickers (May 29, 2026): The Battle with the Hag - Pt 1

The party finally regroups atop the hill outside the Keep of Hasbro, only to be greeted by chaos, jokes, missing minis, and a surprise Rickroll. Before they can strategize, Steve the Artificer dramatically jetpacks into the scene — only to be immediately conscripted into the coming fight. But the hag doesn’t wait. Coxgris, the Sea Hag of Hasbro, emerges from the keep and unleashes a brutal opening salvo: fear checks, necrotic blasts, and instant‑downing death glares. Breeze is restrained, Steve gets flattened mid‑superhero‑landing, and half the party is terrified. What follows is a cinematic, desperate, and wildly funny battle: Canadian Spring sleet storms Improvised grenades MacGyvered from black powder and nails Polymorphing Morelia into a giant ape Bubbles grappling the hag while screaming in Aquan Sweet Pea delivering clutch bardic inspiration Lance dropping god‑tier Guiding Bolts Multiple party members going down, getting revived, going down again Confusion spells turning the hag into her own worst enemy In the final moments, Breeze lands a devastating sneak‑attack volley, dropping Coxgris — only for her body to dissolve into golden mist as she taunts the party: “I’m not that easy to kill.” The episode ends on a cliffhanger as the Sea Hag escapes, setting up the next confrontation inside the Keep. Season 1: RiftKickers (May 17, 2026): Aderyd Fear

The party returns to Aderyd and immediately descends into glorious dysfunction. With the town abandoned, the tavern half-burned, and preserved food “assaulted,” tensions spike as the group splits—again. Breeze and Simi discover an impenetrable magical barrier around the hilltop castle, while Bubbles, Sweet Pea, and Morelia sense the unmistakable presence of the Hag. A newly discovered rift stone triggers a powerful compulsion in Breeze and Simi: the stones must be gathered—now. Lant, meanwhile, is laser‑focused on finding booze and/or drugs, and absolutely not on party cohesion. What follows is a full hour of slapstick chaos: Bubbles dragging Breeze like a toddler clinging to a parent’s leg Simi raging so hard he punches down half the tavern Rift stones being thrown, caught, dropped, shoved, and nearly eaten A force field that blocks constructs but lets organics through Simi getting stuck in the barrier like a malfunctioning Roomba Bongo the dire wolf heroically charging through the dome The party inventing flip‑book communication because Breeze can’t talk about anything except “STONES!” And finally… the world’s most cursed attempt to shove all six rift stones into Simi’s “storage compartment” After hours of chaos, dragging an unconscious Lant up the hill, and nearly breaking the laws of physics, the party finally regroups inside the barrier. Exhausted, bruised, and covered in sand, they collapse at the foot of the dead-zone castle. Next time: the Hag awaits. (If the party doesn’t kill each other first. Season 1: The RiftKickers (May3,2026): Arriving in Aderyd

This episode opens with KJ and Security Dan recapping the long‑running Rift Kickers D&D campaign, now deep into its second year. They reflect on the emotional weight of nearing the end of the Shattered Heart arc and the chaos of recent sessions—compulsions, terror effects, a newly discovered Rift Stone, and the party’s escalating tension as six stones begin reacting in unpredictable ways. The hosts dive into tabletop news, including the explosive success of the Dungeon Crawler Carl BackerKit campaign—now over $9M with nearly 40,000 backers—and discuss Ginny Di’s character creation demo, Jeff Hays’ influence, and the meteoric rise of LitRPG. We also preview Ed Greenwood’s upcoming Spawns of the Mind Render campaign setting and celebrate Todd Stashwick’s charity actual‑play event supporting children fighting cancer. The episode then transitions into the live‑play session: The party explores an eerily abandoned port city where buildings are intact but unnervingly emptied with precision. A magical repulsion field pushes characters away from a hilltop castle, triggering fear, hallucinations, and physical resistance. Warehouse investigations reveal four‑year‑old manifests, rotted goods, and a hidden Rift Stone that sends characters into visions. When all six stones are placed together, they levitate, rotate, and reveal four missing “gaps,” hinting at a larger, dangerous puzzle. Bubbles panics upon sensing the Sea Hag’s presence, escalating the urgency. The episode ends with the party realizing they must find the remaining stones—fast Geeks with Dice, an Actual Play D&D Podcast. Season 1: OneShot Forgotten Realms - Garden of Children

For days, the sanctuary of Eldath has felt dimmer, its fountains quieter, its gardens strangely still. When the party arrives, they find Sister Miranel — once the embodiment of gentle calm — pacing the stone paths with red‑rimmed eyes and hands that won’t stop trembling. The soft green robes of Eldath hang loose on her frame, as though she’s forgotten to eat. She clutches a string of prayer beads so tightly they creak. She tells you of her failure in a voice barely above a whisper. A sacred grove under her protection was defiled by poachers, its waters muddied, its peace shattered. No one blames her — no one but herself. In her grief, she has turned to an old legend, one spoken of only in half‑remembered hymns: the Garden of the Children, a hidden sanctuary deep within the flooded marshes where Eldath’s earliest disciples tended a place of perfect serenity. Somewhere within that drowned paradise lies the Amulet of Still Waters, a relic said to restore harmony to any heart burdened by guilt. Miranel believes this relic is her only hope of redemption. She begs you to retrieve it before others do — for word of the garden has spread. Rival adventurers, treasure hunters, and zealots have already begun slipping into the marshes, each with their own motives and none with your sense of honor. Some seek profit, others power, and a few whisper that the amulet’s peace is a lie. The marsh awaits: a place where lilies bloom in spirals against the current, where ancient statues weep sap, and where the echoes of lost Children drift like mist between the reeds. Somewhere in that drowned world lies a relic that could save a soul… or doom it. And you are not the only ones hunting it. Geeks with Dice, an Actual Play D&D Podcast. Season 1, Episode 6 (Feb 1, 2026): New Year and RiftKickers Updates

In this lively return to the mics, KJ the Comic Guy and Security Dan catch up after a long hiatus and dive straight into the chaos of the tabletop world. They unpack the latest turbulence at Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro, including declining revenues, digital-count controversies, and speculation about a potential sale of WotC. The hosts also spotlight recent Kickstarters, including Modern Problems Require Fantasy Solutions and Horizon Forbidden West: Seeds of Rebellion, before recapping the absolute pandemonium of the latest Rift Kickers session. From seagull‑based trench runs to nat‑20 romance rolls, accidental cult recruitment, and the establishment of Hard Shell Hooch 2.0, the party’s return to Red Haven is everything you’d expect — and everything the city guard feared. In this full‑session episode of Geeks with Dice, the Rift Kickers continue their chaotic escape from Imbris and head straight into a festive but dangerous detour. After uncovering cult secrets, retrieving stolen herbs, and drifting downriver toward the Squid Pro Quo, the party receives a new mission from Dara Vane: investigate a mysterious disturbance at a hidden Dwarven Workshop deep in the snowy foothills. The group arrives to find enchanted pine forests, reindeer stables, flickering magical wards, and a workshop that feels suspiciously like a fantasy‑themed North Pole. As they explore, the players level up to Level 8, sharing their new abilities, feats, and questionable build choices—from grappler shenanigans to lucky rolls to Simi’s ongoing identity crisis. Before long, the holiday cheer is interrupted by a pack of corrupted wolves breaching the failing ward. Initiative is rolled, chaos erupts, and the Rift Kickers dive into a winter‑themed battle filled with jokes, misfires, and the usual blend of strategy and absurdity. Season 1, Episode 4 (Nov 30, 2025): Recap of Shattered Heart

In this episode of Geeks with Dice, KJ the Comic Guy and Security Dan dive into the latest session of their Rift Kickers: Shattered Heart campaign. After five sessions navigating a deceptively small sewer dungeon, the party finally emerges—complete with bags of holding full of bats, guano, and questionable decision‑making. The hosts recap the group’s chaotic progress, including their soft spot for Dave the hapless potion‑runner, Sweet Pea and Bubbles’ comedic loop through a pointless tunnel, and the dramatic confrontation with a mire sea hag tied to Bubbles’ backstory. The encounter sparks one of Bubbles’ rare moments of fury, giving the table a standout roleplay moment. They also explore the nuances of multiclassing in D&D, using Simi’s unusual barbarian/paladin split as a case study. The conversation touches on character identity, mechanical trade‑offs, and how different players approach immersion and storytelling. Looking ahead, the group prepares for their final session of 2025 and a special holiday one‑shot. KJ teases a more tactical, map‑heavy adventure inspired by his long‑running Dungeon in a Box collection—complete with minis, terrain, and a festive twist. Geeks with Dice, an Actual Play D&D Podcast.
