This is Generations Awakening with Pastor Leroy — real conversations about the Church, truth, accountability, and authentic discipleship. We confront half-truths, soft sermons, and the modern church’s drift from Scripture. If you’re hungry for truth, weary of entertainment-driven faith, and ready to follow Jesus with your whole life, you’re in the right place.
This is not church as usual — this is Church as Christ intended.
Sometimes The Most Powerful Thing We Can Do In Prayer Is Be Silent
We live in a world that equates volume with power — and somehow that mindset followed us into our prayer lives. We fill every moment with words, phrases, and repetition, thinking that more means more. But what if the most honest, most powerful thing you can offer God isn't a speech — it's silence? In this episode, we explore what the Bible really says about how we pray, why Jesus warned against empty words, and how stillness before God isn't a lack of faith — it's the deepest expression of it.

When Did Following Jesus Become Comfortable?
In this episode of Generations Awakening, we confront the growing tension between cultural Christianity and true discipleship. Has the modern church prioritized convenience over formation? Inspiration over equipping? Jesus never called people to a life of ease — He called them to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him.
If you’re hungry for depth, tired of surface-level faith, and ready for real spiritual growth, this conversation is for you. Let’s talk about what it truly means to follow Christ — not casually, but completely.

Can You Stand For Truth Without Losing Love?
Can you stand for truth without losing love? In today’s episode, we’re diving into one of the hardest tensions Christians face—how to speak up with conviction in a culture that doesn’t share our beliefs, without becoming harsh, defensive, or self-righteous. What does it look like to stand firm, especially in public spaces, and still reflect the heart of Christ? We’re not talking about compromise, and we’re not talking about cruelty. We’re talking about courageous love—truth that doesn’t bend, and love that doesn’t break.

The Missing Ingredient In Modern Christianity
Have we embraced a version of Christianity that talks about love but avoids reverence? In this episode, we dive into what Scripture really means by the fear of the Lord. It’s not terror that drives us away from God, but holy reverence that draws us closer in obedience, humility, and awe. We’ll explore why the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, why it protects us from casual faith, and why removing it from the pulpit may be costing the Church more than we realize. If we want true revival, it starts here.

Why Jesus’ First Message Was To Repent
Today we’re talking about something that’s foundational to the gospel, but often avoided in modern church culture. Repentance.
When Jesus began His public ministry, His very first message wasn’t about prosperity, comfort, or self-improvement. Scripture tells us His opening call was, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” That wasn’t accidental. It tells us something about the nature of the gospel and the condition of the human heart.
Somewhere along the way, repentance became associated with shame or fear, instead of freedom and transformation. But biblical repentance isn’t about feeling bad. It’s about a change of mind that leads to a change of direction. It’s the doorway into the Kingdom, not a barrier to it.
Today we’re going to unpack why Jesus led with repentance, what repentance truly means, and why it’s still essential for believers today. This isn’t about condemnation. It’s about alignment. And alignment always leads to life.

Are We Changed or Just Churched? Part 2
Last time, we asked the hard question. This time, we sit with it.
In Part 2, we go deeper into what real transformation actually looks like in the life of a believer. Not surface behavior. Not church culture. Not knowing the right language. But a life being steadily shaped by truth, obedience, and the fruit of repentance.
We talk honestly about why church involvement doesn’t always equal spiritual maturity, how routine can replace relationship, and the subtle ways we learn how to “do church” without allowing the Word to do its work in us.
This episode is for anyone willing to examine themselves, not to condemn, but to be refined. Because following Jesus was never about attendance, appearance, or applause. It was always about being changed.
Listen with an open heart. Let the question search you.

Are We Changed or Just Churched? Part 1
Are We Changed or Just Churched? is a raw, honest conversation about authenticity in the Body of Christ. In a time when Christianity is often curated, filtered, and performed, this episode confronts a deeper question: are we truly being transformed by Jesus or simply learning how to look spiritual? We explore the difference between grace that heals and grace that excuses, the danger of a polished faith that produces no fruit, and what real, cross-shaped Christianity actually looks like in everyday life. This is an invitation to move beyond religious routines and into a faith that is genuine, repentant, and powerfully alive.
