It’s about understanding your needs, desires, habits, and everything that makes you YOU</p> <p>How to help your clients be more aware - Slow them down</p> <p>Here are some ways for you to increase your self-awareness: Ask yourself:</p> <p>• What are your strengths?</p> <p>• What are your core values?</p> <p>• What do you love doing?</p> <p>• What do you tend to avoid?</p> <p>• What do you want to achieve in your life?</p> <p>• What do you want to leave as a legacy?</p> <p>• How do you tend to manage your emotions? - Big emotions like love, anger, sadness, stress, happiness, etc</p> <p>Presence is one's ability to be consciously aware of what is happening. You are present to your client’s needs and emotions as well as yours.</p> <p>How to be more present in your coaching sessions:</p> <p>• Turn off your phone, laptop, and any other distracting device (ask your client to do the same).</p> <p>• Leave your personal life outside your coaching session.</p> <p>• Make sure you schedule enough time to be fully present in your session.</p> <p>• Start a meditation practice where you allow yourself just to BE and not DO anything.&nbsp;When you feel your mind wants to wander, focus on breathing for a while. Allow the experience to bring you to the present moment.</p> <p>Deep Listening&nbsp; - Tips for becoming a better listener</p> <p>• Allow time for silence so your client can digest their insights.</p> <p>• Don’t try to be interesting; be interested in what your client says.</p> <p>• Don’t worry about what to ask next. Let the session flow.
