[…] He's been a teacher for 15 years, and he grew up about 20 minutes away from here in Clay County. And there is no place he'd rather be than rural West Virginia. I think part of what makes us special is the community, is the people. We know our neighbors. We leave our doors unlocked. So it's a very special area. That's what makes these small schools healthy for children because every family looks after other families just like they were their own. And that's something that you don't see everywhere. And when you travel outside of West Virginia, I think we are kind of naive to just how special and how lucky that we truly are to live where we do. […]
