Do you want to take part in this project?

Hello, I’m Laura and I am the creator of Hearing the Past Project.

I created this podcast to give a space for older generations to tell their stories of their childhoods. A lot the time, people take for granted that they can ask their grandparents for stories from their childhoods, and it’s only after they’ve gone that they realise that it’s too late. For some older people, they may feel like their younger relatives aren’t interested in what they have to say. This podcast is a place for them to feel heard, and for their relatives to have a chance to hear their voices after they’ve gone.

We are currently looking for people born in the UK before 1970 to take part in this project. If you want to take part, email me at hearingthepast@gmail.com
