Hallo, in der ersten Folge des neuen Podcast Heimat -der Podcast habe ich John Doyle die Frage gestellt: WER und WAS ist für dich Heimat ?John Doyle ist ein Komiker aus den USA. Im Gespräch mit Thorsten Runte erklärt er, was der Begriff "Heimat" für ihn bedeutet. Für ihn hänge das immer damit zusammen, wo er sich gerade befinde. John Doyle lebt in Deutschland und fühlt sich dort zu Hause. Er erzählt, dass er zwei Heimatgefühle habe: Eins für die USA, wo er die erste Hälfte seines Lebens verbracht hat, und eins für Deutschland. Im Gespräch mit Thorsten Runte geht es auch um den Unterschied von Heimat und Zuhause, die Bedeutung von Sprache und sein Leben in Köln. John Doyle erzählt außerdem von seinem Journalismus-Studium, seinem Zugang zur deutschen Sprache und seiner Arbeit als Deutsch-Lehrer in den USA. Der Komiker berichtet, wie er vom Journalismus zur Comedy gekommen ist. Seinen ersten Auftritt hattet er im "Quatsch Comedy Club" auf der Reeperbahn – moderiert von Thomas Hermanns. Natürlich geht es auch um seine Teilnahme in der TV-Schow "Star Search" 2003 und sein Bühnenprogramm.
