<p class="MsoNormal">In this episode of the IEEE CS Quantum Podcast Series, host Steve talks with D-Wave's Trevor Lanting and Rob Schoelkopf.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Trevor Lanting, D-Wave's Chief Development Officer, is a senior R&D executive with over 15 years of experience in technology development. He leads D-Wave's product development organization, which includes teams responsible for software, systems, and cloud services. He holds a BSc in physics and astronomy from the University of British Columbia and a PhD in physics from the University of California, Berkeley.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Rob Schoelkopf, co-founder of Quantum Circuits and now Chief Scientist at D-Wave, is the Sterling Professor of Applied Physics and Physics at Yale University and Founding Director of the Yale Quantum Institute. His is one of the founders of the circuit quantum electrodynamics field with many firsts in solid-state quantum computing, including the transmon qubit and quantum algorithms with quantum error correction in integrated circuits.</p>

He is also and member of the German Federal Economic Senate, an EIC Scaling Club Council member, member of the Hall of Future, as well as a Digital Leader and Global Innovator at the World Economic Forum (WEF). Goetz did his doctorate on superconducting quantum circuits at TU Munich and worked as a Marie-Curie Fellow in Helsinki at Aalto University, where he holds the title of docent.</p> <p> </p>

<p>In this episode, Steve sits down with Jerry Chow, IBM Fellow and Chief Technology Officer of Quantum Centric Supercomputing at IBM. Doctor Chow led the IBM quantum team that developed and deployed IBM Quantum System two, the first modular quantum computer, and a major milestone towards quantum centric supercomputing. He was awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship for his study at Yale, where he worked on implementing the first quantum processor with superconducting qubits. He joined IBM research as a research staff member in 2010, and in 2012, he was recognized in the Forbes 30 under 30 technology list.<br /> <br /> This conversation spans across roadmaps, initiatives within IBM, partnerships across companies, and where quantum is heading. </p>
