A short update - I am taking a 2 week break but why?

After a challenging couple of weeks at nearly 33 weeks pregnant, I’m taking a short two-week break to rest and recharge. Pregnancy, the heat, and a busy schedule of appointments have finally convinced me to listen to my body. I’ll be back on 15th July with a new episode exploring the emotional ”in-between” stage of pregnancy—when you don’t quite feel like yourself anymore, but don’t quite feel like a parent yet. Thanks for being here. Stay hydrated, be kind to yourself, and I’ll speak to you soon.

Periods, Pubes and Pit-stains

Periods. Pubes. Pit-stains. They’re all completely normal, yet so many of us are taught to hide them. In this episode of I’m the Xaddy, I unpack the shame surrounding menstruation, body hair, and sweat while reflecting on my experience as a non-binary person going through fertility treatment and pregnancy. From menstrual cups and failed fertility cycles to hairy legs, impossible beauty standards, and running permanently hot while pregnant, this is a conversation about what happens when you stop performing for other people’s expectations and start accepting your body for what it is: human. If you’ve ever questioned body image, gender roles, pregnancy, or why we’re taught to apologise for perfectly normal bodily functions, this episode is for you.

What the First Trimester Really Feels Like | Non-Binary Pregnancy, Symptoms & Anxiety | Featuring my partner

In Episode 8 of I’m the Xaddy, I share the reality of non-binary pregnancy during those uncertain first 12 weeks, from exhaustion, strange symptoms and anxiety to navigating gender identity inside a healthcare system that often assumes pregnancy is a binary experience. My partner also shares their perspective, giving an honest insight into supporting a pregnant partner, preparing for parenthood, and experiencing early pregnancy together. If you’re searching for real conversations about first-trimester symptoms, LGBTQ+ families, pregnancy after fertility treatment, or non-binary parenthood, this episode is for you.
