Homeless Mother Desperately Searches for Housing To Keep Kids in her Care
<p>This week I met with an Indigenous mother living in Lawrence who is desperately searching to find a landlord who will accept her housing voucher, so she can keep custody of her children. </p><p>Faro, a mother of three, who is pregnant, lost her housing after she fell behind on rent in May, June and July. The family was evicted on her youngest daughter's seventh birthday. </p><p>Now Faro and two of her children are staying in a hotel financed by the Department of Children and Family Services.
