#002: Neue Geldpolitik
Seit der Finanzkrise von 2008 sind die Zentralbanken zu einer ultralockeren Geldpolitik mit dauerhaft niedrigen Zinsen übergegangen. Dann kamen Corona, der weltweite Lockdown, der Krieg in der Ukraine und der Anstieg der Inflation. Wie reagiert die Geldpolitik auf die gewachsene Instabilität und die neuen Herausforderungen in der Welt? In der zweiten Folge des neuen Initial-Podcasts geht es darum, die aktuelle Geldpolitik der EZB nach der Leitzins-Erhöhung vom 21.07.2022 zu deuten und in einen größeren wirtschaftspolitischen Zusammenhang einzuordnen. Daneben beschäftigt uns die Frage, wie sich die Inflation weiterentwickeln wird. Außerdem setzen wir uns mit der Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) kritisch auseinander, einem der wichtigsten Ansätze für eine geldpolitische Neuausrichtung. Juliane Victor spricht mit dem Finanzwissenschaftler und Initial-Redakteur Dr. Ulrich Busch sowie mit dem Wirtschaftswissenschaftler Prof. Dr. Michael Heine über diese Thema.
