<p>What is intercession?</p> <p>*intercession is an action/activity of bringing two parties together. standing in the gap. making petition to heaven on behalf of an individual, nation, family through Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit.*</p> <p>1 Timothy 2:1(KJV); I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;</p> <p>Intercession is the responsibility of EVERY Christian.</p> <p>1 timothy 2:1 says that intercession is to be made “for all.” The language of the scripture does not limit this responsibility to a specific group of people.</p> <p>You ought to pray for your leaders, your teachers, your ministry, your family among others. Some people are so engrossed with their personal needs; it is all they ask for in prayer. They leave the responsibility of prayer for all men to “prayer warriors” and “intercessors.”</p> <p>No, that is a lack of understanding of the responsibility of prayer.</p> <p>It is the mandate of every Christian to pray for more than just what they need but for the nation, the body of Christ, fellow believers and even classmates and colleagues at the work places.</p> <p>*Purpose to live a life beyond your own needs; pray for the ministers of the gospel, pray for the government and pray for your supervisors at work.pray for your roommate and all the people around you. Learn to carry people, institutions and even nations in prayer.</p> <p>That is part of spiritual maturity.</p> <p>*</p> <p>Let us prepare our hearts to hear from God in this month for he wants us to intercede and pray with understanding.</p> <p>SCRIPTURES FOR FURTHER STUDY: (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Matthew 6:6, Roman's 8:26-27, Ephesians 6:18, Luke 18:1-14</p> <p>PRAYER: Lord, we thank you for this great wisdom and understanding that we will receive in this month . We know that you are the God who answers prayer, for the confidence that we have is that when we pray you hear us.</p> <p>we want to pray with the understanding and that we have a responsibility over our nations, in the body of Christ and every place that you have positioned us. With the wisdom and understanding that we will receive this month , we will change the world, to the glory of your name. Amen.</p>
