<p>Welcome to Jingwen’s art world! Today, I’d love to share my perspectives on art with you and perhaps offer a bit of inspiration to help you connect with it on a deeper level. You can also find the answer to my title.</p><p>Let’s put aside the notion of art being distant and unattainable. Instead, let’s embark on a journey together.</p><p>When we talk about art, I like to express it with the simplest phrase, and I would say, “Life itself is art’’. Art is not something distant from us, your eyes have to travel, and you will find that art is everywhere.</p><p>That is the answer to the question about ‘’What is art?’’. I will give you the next question,’’ How about artwork?’’</p><p>Artwork is the medium to feel art. However, It’s common talk that you cannot see a physical artwork whenever you want to admire one. The Good news is that, if you want to, there will be many ways for you to enter the kingdom of art. Hence, I will not put the topic on how, but put it on why we need to feel the artwork. And you will find the charm of art.</p><p>To me, the artwork is like an open book or a captivating movie. It’s the map that guides us through the myriad ways of experiencing our world. If you stand before an orange, how would you describe it? If you are in an empty room, how would you express the flow of your emotions?</p><p>Allow me to illustrate this with the example of painting first. In the silent realm of a canvas, there is no voice, yet a myriad of colors speaks volumes. Each hue and shade, every stroke of the brush, demonstrates the painter’s inner world. And if the instrument, each note played by an instrument conveys the musician’s soul. If dance, every gesture and movement reflects the dancer’s innermost being.</p><p>To me, art is not just a medium to experience the essence of life but also a bridge that connects us with others across space and time. When you jump over the bond across space and time to talk to the former people through artwork, they cease to be more artists; they become profound life speakers.</p><p>Some life speakers possess a greater gift of gaps, making it easier for us to resonate with their messages. But don’t forget, you are also a speaker in the communication. Artwork is there, and you can speak everything you want, but it all depends on how profound you can feel it.</p><p>Why not embrace art? Art is the essence that breathes life into our world. Make your soul friend and even your soul teacher by art. Although our time here is fleeting, through art, you can cultivate a timeless connection. It strengthens your heart, making it more resilient.</p><p>Thank you for lending me your ears today. I genuinely appreciate you and wish for you to discover a kindred spirit in the realm of art.</p>
