Unequal Pay is Discrimination.
To address these challenges, the Biden administration has taken several steps to advance pay equity and fairness for workers.
For example, President Biden signed an executive order to promote pay transparency and eliminate pay disparities in the federal workforce and among federal contractors (https://www.littler.com/publication-press/publication/paycheck-rule-revived-pay-discrimination-claims-signing-lilly). He also signed a law to provide new protections for pregnant and nursing workers (https://rayneslaw.com/what-is-the-lilly-ledbetter-fair-pay-act/).
Additionally, he has urged Congress to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act, a bill that would strengthen the enforcement of the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and provide more tools for workers to fight pay discrimination.

Filibusters and Cloture in the Senate - Updated April 7, 2017
In particular, a Senator who seeks recognition usually has a right to the floor if no other Senator is speaking, and then that Senator may speak for as long as he or she wishes. Also, there is no motion by which a simple majority of the Senate can stop a debate and allow itself to vote in favor of an amendment, a bill or resolution, or most other debatable questions. Most bills, indeed, are potentially subject to at least two filibusters before the Senate votes on final passage: first, a filibuster on a motion to proceed to the bill’s consideration and, second, after the Senate agrees to this motion, a filibuster on the bill itself.
