Ep. 4 | Turning Strategy Into Action | Toni Land
Most organizations don't fail at strategy — they fail at execution.
In this episode, Nicco LoCascio and Lara Klick sit down with Toni Land, nurse, healthcare executive, and author of The Conversation: Why Good Ideas Don't Survive the Day, to tackle the knowing-doing gap head on. Toni breaks down how to co-design work that actually holds on the front lines and why good ideas keep dying before they ever reach the people they're meant to serve.
If you lead teams in healthcare, human services, or any complex care environment, this one is worth your time.

Ep 3: Leading Change
Welcome back to Klick Into Purpose. In this episode, Nicco LoCascio and Lara Klick dive into one of the biggest challenges organizations face: change management.
Why do some change efforts succeed while others fail? From personal stories to leadership lessons, Nicco and Lara unpack the role communication, resistance, leadership buy-in, and culture play in creating lasting transformation. Whether you're leading a team, implementing a new policy, or navigating personal change, this episode offers practical tools to help you lead change with confidence.
Words That Work: Instead of saying “Corporate made us do this,” try “Here’s why this change matters and how it supports our goals.”
Ownership creates trust. Blame creates resistance.

Ep 2: The Myth of the 80-Hour Hero: Redefining Work-Life Balance
Welcome back to Klick Into Purpose.
Today, we’re tackling the #2 topic requested by our listeners: Work-Life Balance. Is it an aspiration or an activity? For many in healthcare and social work, it feels impossible. In this episode, Lara Klick and Nicco LoCascio get vulnerable about the times they didn't get it right and how those failures shaped their current leadership philosophies.
Episode Roadmap:
[02:38] The Pager Era: Reflecting on the "Always On" healthcare culture.
[11:32] Open-Book Tool: How to create an "Escalation Mandate" for your team.
[13:01] Integration vs. Balance: Taking calls from the "Hub" at Disney.
[28:17] The "Busy" Trap: Why exhaustion is actually a systemic liability.
[40:36] Victim vs. Victor: Choosing a positive mindset state.
Words That Work: Instead of saying "I’m busy," try "I’m very popular right now." It shifts the mindset from being a victim of your schedule to being a high-value contributor.
If you enjoyed this episode, please leave us a 5-star review and share it with a colleague who is currently "redlining."
