<p>Com una au fènix, La Quarta Llei de Newton reneix de les seves cendres. Des que la flama comencés a minvar, la ciència i el món han avançat a un ritme vertiginós. Ho repassem amb la sentida absència del Gerard, qui hagués preferit l'actualitat futbolística a la barra del bar, cervesa a la mà. Però, per renascut de les seves pròpies cendres, el protagonista d'avui: Josep Maria Mainat. Desgranem el seu programa de divulgació científica i, per aportar una mica de rigor, fem un cop d'ull a les dades del nostre podcast, ja que el Miquel té massa temps lliure. No reescalfeu el cafè, carai!
<p>La Quarta Llei està de celebració! No pel fet d'haver aconseguit reunir-se i gravar un episodi, que també, sinó perquè per fi ha aconseguit retornar a la seva durada original. No serà, però, per falta de divagació ni d'opinar sense estar informats, sinó més aviat per falta de seccions. La sequera es nota, potser és una metàfora de l'estiu que li espera a Catalunya. </p> <p>Nogensmenys, seguim amb la cerca de matemàtiques allà on no n'hi ha, aquest cop en el cafè. La sinèrgia amb la secció bèl·lica és clara, ja que els magnetrons i el cafè estan íntimament relacionats. L'únic dubte que quedarà per resoldre serà si és pitjor reescalfar un cafè fet o defensar que la pizza al microones està més bona que al forn.</p>

<p>La fotogènia és un mite. Tots sortim malament a les fotos de carnet. Després de repassar tot el que no hem après, aquesta setmana discutim sobre la ciència pública i privada. És ètic fer recerca per satisfer les demandes d'empreses privades? La tertúlia del cafè ve seguida d'una anècdota curiosa pròpia d'una divulgació buida: l'estimació del volum d'un elefant. Repassem els volums geomètrics de secundària per adonar-nos que potser hi ha preguntes científiques que no paga la pena respondre. Acabem parlant d'una invenció que va maleïr la catalana terra: el radar. Ben mirat, potser viuríem millor a Cáceres. Visca el Servei Català de Trànsit!</p>
