She believes this is what makes the culture rich. She discusses being proud of the skin, hair, and more. She wants people to quit trying to fit this unrealistic stereotypical hip-hop culture and trying to use it as a standard for blackness. "Once you're black, nobody can take that away from you." She states that black people need to have pride in their individualism because this helps build the culture.

-Surfside [Miami] Condos Collapse Update
According to the Guardian, the death toll has risen to 60 and 80 people are unaccounted for. Rescue workers have ended their search and felt like they have exhausted all resources. Investigators are still gathering information to determine the actual cause of the collapse.
-Haitian President Jovenel Moise Assassinated
President Jovenel Moise was assassinated in his home on Wednesday. The latest update according to the NY Times is that 2 U.S. Citizens amongst 17 suspects have been arrested.
-Reparations for Jamaica
A petition will be presented to the British Monarch demanding that Queen Elizabeth pay reparations to the people of Jamaica.

A Fat American Label Story
Lady Mprez presents a short story about her past experiences being labeled "fat" and coming to the realization that the word "fat" in American terminology was a bad thing. She brings up the cultural difference of what the word "fat" meant to her growing up in a Caribbean household verses growing up in an American culture. She talks about feeling ashamed of being fat because of the American association with the term, but never felt ashamed of being fat while she was in the Caribbean. She describes the American culture as discriminative and having unrealistic Eurocentric standards of beauty. Lady Mprez ends this story with some positive uplifting words and body positivity.
