Herz unter Druck: Ursachen, Diagnose und Therapie des Bluthochdrucks
Etwa ein Drittel aller Erwachsenen in Deutschland hat einen zu hohen Blutdruck, das sind ca. 20 Millionen Menschen (Robert Koch-Institut). Dabei ist Bluthochdruck einer der wichtigsten Risikofaktoren für Herzinfarkt, Schlaganfall, Herzschwäche, Herzrhythmusstörungen oder den Verschluss der Beingefäße. Leider führen oft erst diese schwerwiegenden Folgen eines unbehandelten Hochdrucks Betroffene zum Arzt. Es steht deshalb außer Frage: Jeder sollte seinen Blutdruck kennen und spätestens ab dem 40. Lebensjahr sollte jeder seinen Blutdruck regelmäßig messen. Im Zuge der diesjährigen Herzwochen informieren in dieser Episode die Experten Prof. Dr. Karl Mischke (Chefarzt Medizinische Klinik 1 am Leopoldina-Krankenhaus, Jochen Genzel (Kardiologe im MVZ Leopoldina) und Dr. Marc-Alexander Katz (Kardiologe/Internist am Ambulanten Herzzentrum Schweinfurt) gemeinsam über Ursachen, Diagnose und Behandlung des Bluthochdrucks.
