1977年，国际博物馆协会（International Council of Museums, 简称ICOM），将每年的5月18日定为“国际博物馆日”，主旨为号召世界各国关注博物馆事业，促进世界博物馆和文化事业健康发展。林连玉纪念馆作为人物博物馆，在本土肩负着教育与文化传承的使命，也从2019年起开始响应“国际博物馆日”。 2022年的国际博物馆日的主题是“博物馆的力量”（The Power of Museums)，林连玉纪念馆携手12个单位，一起发挥博物馆的力量！ 2023年度的国际博物馆日的主题则是“博物馆，可持续发展与美好生活（Museums, Sustainability and Wellbeing）”，我们将介绍茨厂街社区附近的景点，拉近历史和当下的距离。 5月18日起至5月21日，连续9天中午，准时播放景点介绍，希望能让公众更加关注我们身边的社区，促进文化交流与发展。

<p>吉隆坡暨雪兰莪中华大会堂（简称隆雪华堂）是统领隆雪两地的华人团体的组织，2023年正好是创立100周年记。 这栋建筑有别于传统的华人建筑，显得庄雅摩登，在马来西亚建筑史中有其印记，是我国早期使用钢筋混凝土的大型建筑物，目前已经是马来西亚的文化遗产。 早期的隆雪华堂是政府和华民的沟通桥梁。近年来，她走出华人团体的身份窠臼，朝向公民团体的方向，积极参与马来西亚公共事务。</p>

<p>人镜慈善白话剧社在苏丹街和汉惹拔路交界处，与积善堂比邻。纵然积善堂只剩下遗址，但人镜依然守护原处，纵然在MRT征地风波、发展洪流中被巨兽迫迁，依然不改本色。</p> <p>在银幕娱乐还没盛行时候，白话剧是潮流，而这个娱乐方式更用来支援慈善。</p> <p>跟随我们，了解这个老社区的老艺术中心，如何投入慈善，奉献当地社会。</p>

<p>40年代的茨厂街有个戏院，叫大中华戏院，鬼仔巷据说是通往该戏院的必经之路。这条后巷有不同版本的传奇，或调皮小孩，或横行的帮派，莫说一是。</p> <p>原有的居民搬离这个街道后，这条巷迎来新生，但引发不同的声音，究竟为何？</p> <p>在捷运建成之前，这条街道曾经人满为患，为的是守护茨厂街这个老社区，然而在失去了原有特色后，我们究竟在守护什么？</p>
