Opening the Door to Pleasure
Tonight on Love Notes LIVE, we explored what happens when pleasure stops waiting outside and we finally decide to let it in.
This episode was about noticing the small joys we often overlook, allowing ourselves to receive beauty without guilt, and discovering that pleasure rarely disappears. More often, it waits patiently for us to become available to it again.
Tonight's dedications featured:
🎶 Year of the Cat by Al Stewart
🎶 Whenever I Call You Friend by Kenny Loggins & Stevie Nicks
🎶 Baby, Come to Me by Patti Austin & James Ingram
🎶 Steal Away by Robbie Dupree
Tonight's romance recommendations:
📚 Summer Sisters by Judy Blume
🎥 A Room with a View
✨ Between the Pages
Tonight we introduced a love letter written over three hundred years ago.
Our reading came from The World's Greatest Love Letters, compiled by Michael Kelahan, featuring a letter from George Farquhar to Penelope Oldfield, written around 1700.
Together, we explored how longing, admiration, devotion, and hope continue to connect hearts across centuries, reminding us that while language changes, the human heart rarely does.
Tonight's reflection asked:
What beautiful thing have you noticed this week that you almost overlooked?
