The insurance industry has studied these five hurricanes and their impact on housing markets. Katrina, Harvey, Andrew, Charley and Hugo were all cat 4 or 5 storms.
Andrew and Charley were Florida events. Charley hit the Charlotte Harbor area in 2004.
On 9-28-22 we had our latest encounter with mother nature …Ian was just shy of a cat 5.
