Pop Culture Princess

Today’s episode features the talented, vibrant and very funny Hannah Brontë. Hannah Brontë is a practising visual artist whose music videos, banners and large-scale installations explore the role of Indigenous/Blak women through recurring themes of resilience, matriarchy, and power. Influenced by her work as a DJ and her fascination with the spoken word, she is conscious of intertwining the knowledge of all her ancestors in each work she creates. Hannah has recently drawn on holistic, spiritual and physical healers as consultants for her work, which led her to becoming a doula.

In today’s episode we will be discussing a variety of pop culture topics - diving a little deeper into the Travis/Kylie/Yungsweetro drama, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale (what really happened in Aspen?!) and celebrity halloween costumes. Plus a few detours to Kris Jenner, Blac Chyna, Tik Tok worms and the Melbourne Cup.

This episode features host, Ayeesha Ash @eeshash and guest, Hannah Brontë @hannahbronte.

Find out more about Hannah’s exhibition, Neon Oracle.

Listen to Jesswar’s album, LIFE’S SHORT, LIVE BIG.

No Offence, But… is a Black Birds podcast.
