Shame can whisper lies such as there is something wrong with you, you are unworthy of love and connection.
We can find ourselves using shame to dig ourselves into a deeper hole keeping us stuck and meditating on false beliefs of unworthiness and facilitating isolation.
Shame thrives in darkness and alongside those who have made shame their friend. As the saying goes birds of a feather flock together. Shame dies when brought into the light.
