We have a small fire escape balcony that’s been covered in scaffolding since March of this year. This recording captures the sounds from the facade work as well as the traffic below. The hum in the background is a real sound that can be heard when the office windows are open. This is a stationary recording where I set the recorder on a tripod directly outside of my office window. You can see the Empire State Building through the scaffolding safety net. INFO: 10.04.24, 11:00 AM, 72 degrees (F), mostly cloud, 65% humidity Tascam X8, included capsules in A-B config., Bumblebee Windkiller SE windscreen 32 bit, 96 kHz, 39 minutes Feel free to download and use for anything you want (except to sell without making any changes). No need to ask permission or to credit me.

Download full version: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ON-7QiMpwze3Iu4yVLZYZC1Xq7pjsYem?usp=drive_link On a rainy Sunday I took my field recorder to Forest Park in Queens, NY to record sounds near a small pond that I sometimes take my dog to walk around. It generally feels pretty remote, but you can hear the occasional reminder that you're ~5 miles from JFK airport, as well as some car sounds here and there. This is a stationary recording where I set the recorder on a tripod under a fallen tree to use as protection to avoid the pattering sounds of rain on an umbrella. INFO: 09.29.24, 1:11 PM, 64 degrees (F), rain, 88% humidity Tascam X8, included capsules in A-B config., generic windscreen 32 bit, 96 kHz, 27 minutes Feel free to download and use for anything you want (except to sell without making any changes). No need to ask permission or to credit me.
