Human rights: a focus on healthcare workers and patients

The Coronavirus pandemic has put a lot of strain on an already burdened healthcare system in South Africa. As a result, patients and healthcare workers aren't feeling very well taken care of. On one hand, healthcare workers are working long hours and seeing an increase in patients which means they don't get to spend enough time with each patient and are constantly stressed. On the other hand, patients are having to wait for longer to receive care and sometimes, they are not received patiently or with respect. And that is where the work of Nurses At A Go comes in: to monitor and write down their observations so that they can assist the health sites as well as the Department of Health with the necessary changes that must be implemented to make everyone feel safe and taken care of.
