Ari: Painter, poet Born in Soviet Union, arrived in Canada in 1960 after spending time in Poland, Italy and Israel. Completing preliminary studies in Canada he traveled across America to California in the late ‘60's. After coming back to Canada he began his career as an artist. Following the footsteps of Wassily Kandinsky, the later abstract expressionists and surrealism. His later studies in metaphysics, philosophy, psychology, physics and art history. As his knowledge grew so the complexity of his creative output. Extensive travels to remote parts of the planet and exploring painting techniques, photography, multiprojection displays using available technology led to the creation of The Dream Factory and Vision Systems in Toronto 1976 - 1984. After the immersion in multimedia he went back to painting. He moved to an old church in the country. Living in relative solitude writing and painting, spending winters in Mexico and Central America until the autumn of 2017, where circumstances brought him to Canada where he now lives.
