met Mark Vletter naar dokter Wang (acupuncturist)

Op 3 januari ging ik samen met Mark Vletter naar m'n acupuncturist dokter Wang. Heel fijn dat Mark me wilde brengen. En heel fijn om elke week terecht te kunnen bij dokter Wang. Dat helpt. Na de eerste chemokuren had ik veel eerder naar hem toe gemoeten. Want de neuropathische klachten waren gelijk met 70% afgenomen alleen al in m'n handen.... Guido stuurde me nog een lieve audio app via whatsapp en ik vertel dokter Wang over mezelf en dat ik me wat verlaten voel door de artsen van het ziekenhuis. Ach. En nog meer anekdotes die voorbij komen on the go.....

about the 'Now' and GOD with my dear friend Tom Wilson

<h1>ENGLISH 🇺🇸</h1> This podcast 'Over Leven' (about life/surviving) is normally in the Dutch language but in this case I have had a wonderfull conversation with my dear friend Tom Wilson from Los Angeles. We became friends ever since I've invited him in 2015 to my ongoing filmproject <a href="https://areyounow.com" target="_blank">Are You Now</a> and since I’ve made a short documentary about him called<a href="https://youtu.be/FjfMxLSST38" target="_blank"> ‘I am Famous’.</a> Tom played the icon character Biff Tannen in the Back to the the Future trilogy and me as a huge fan of that filmfranchise and as a filmmaker myself really wanted to make a film about Tom about how is in the NOW. I knew he is an artist/painter and a standup comedian. I saw his show and I asked him for my project. He said yes and I we kept in touch. In 2018 he was one of the first friends I felt I needed to call him and tell him about my diagnosis of lung cancer stage 4. One of the hardest conversations I've ever had but also very inspiring and uplifting to me. Tom was and IS still there for me. And the movies where he was iconic famous for me until that moment became secondary to me.  As a thing from the past. Ironic. This Tom Wilson person is so much more then how people tend to see him. As that broken character from that movie franchise to the most wonderful person I've ever met in my life. So thanks Tom. For being there for me. It means the world. <h1>DUTCH 🇳🇱</h1> Deze podcast 'Over Leven' is normaal gesproken in de Nederlandse taal, maar in dit geval heb ik een heerlijk gesprek gehad met mijn dierbare vriend Tom Wilson. We zijn vrienden geworden sinds ik hem in 2015 heb uitgenodigd voor mijn doorlopende filmproject <a href="https://areyounow.com" target="_blank">Are You Now</a> en sinds ik een korte documentaire over hem heb gemaakt genaamd <a href="https://youtu.be/FjfMxLSST38" target="_blank">'I am Famous'.</a> Tom speelde het iconische personage Biff Tannen in de Back to the Future film-trilogie en ik als grote fan van die filmfranchise en als filmmaker wilde ik heel graag een film maken over Tom over hoe het in het NU met hem is en wat hij nu doet. Ik wist dat hij een artiest/schilder en een stand-upcomedian is. Ik zag zijn show en ik nodigde hem uit voor mijn project. Hij zei ja en we hielden contact. In 2018 was hij een van de eerste vrienden die ik ging bellen om het te vertellen over mijn diagnose van longkanker stadium 4. Een van de moeilijkste gesprekken die ik ooit heb gehad, maar ook zeer inspirerend en opbeurend voor mij. Tom was en IS er nog steeds voor mij. En de films waarin hij een iconisch bekend van was dat werd voor mij ondergeschikt. Als iets uit het verleden. Deze Tom Wilson is zoveel meer dan hoe mensen hem vaak zien. Als dat gebroken personage uit die filmfranchise tot de meest geweldige persoon die ik ooit in mijn leven heb ontmoet. Dus bedankt Tom. Dat je er voor me bent. Het betekent de wereld.
