Bonustrack | Vincent Geyskens leest zijn nieuw gedicht 'Het Geslacht van de Paling' voor
<p>In 2021 brengt Vincent Geyskens een nieuw gedicht uit bij het balanseer, ‘Het Geslacht van de Paling’ de opvolger voor ‘Op Stijgend Vocht’ (2015). Het ‘Geslacht van de Paling’ wurmt zich in de naspokende fragmenten van een onherroepelijk mythisch verleden en diept zo een schommelende existentie uit. Wanneer de eigen naam wordt vergeten, tekenen resten en brokstukken zich af, herhalend, splitsend, herkoppelend, als de fonkelende as van een geschiedenis op een lichaam.</p><p>Vincent Geyskens leest zijn gedicht integraal voor. Marc Kregting verzorgt de introductie.</p>

<p>Simon Delobel is een Franse kunsthistoricus. Hij is momenteel directeur van KIOSK, een ruimte voor hedendaagse kunst op de campus van KASK - Conservatorium in Gent. Voorheen leidde hij onder meer trampoline (2013-2020), een eigen galerieruimte in Antwerpen. In die periode had hij de kans vier solotentoonstellingen met Vincent Geyskens te organiseren.</p><p>Een constante in het oeuvre van Vincent Geyskens zijn de collages. Simon Delobel spreekt over het verknippen, verscheuren, plooien en kleven van bestaande beelden en teksten, in het werk van Vincent Geyskens en andere kunstenaars.</p>
