Mathews, CEO of FLUSH Promotions has been involved in the Autism Speaks</p> <p>community as a brand ambassador and Team Captain in major cities such as Florida, Indy,</p> <p>Chicago, and Detroit for the past seven years.</p> <p> </p> <p>“I have a passion for mental health and growing as an individual,” states Mathews, “Rather</p> <p>then focus on the boxes that so narrowly define what a person ‘has' or is diagnosed with, we</p> <p>can talk about these experiences openly in our daily lives. The issues we each face are filled</p> <p>with complexity, and they are not so easily captured under the boxed categories that society</p> <p>asks us to subscribe to. Often time's members of our society are overlooked or looked down</p> <p>upon for their issues without individuals fully understanding their story, or even asking about it.</p> <p>We believe instead that there is value in those very things that challenge us and give us</p> <p>difficulty because ultimately, they are what makes us the very person that we are today. “</p> <p>“We will emphasize a relaxed and informal environment for the event.” Mathews continues,</p> <p>“Yes, we want the conversations to move mental health issues forward, however, we are not</p> <p>concerned with pushing or selling any ideologies, thus we guarantee with our events the spread</p> <p>of KEEP PACE will flow organically through word of mouth and social media.”</p> <p> </p> <p>Continuing the conversation is Mathews' newly launched Memoir entitled ‘?QuestionMark?',</p> <p> </p> <p>which takes you into a mental health guide-line truth-telling conversations, poems, and about</p> <p>past and present. Mathews recalls his own experiences visiting mental health clinics and</p> <p>having suicidal thoughts, along with his quest to become knowledgeable in identifying with</p> <p>emotional insecurity and having conversations with others about the experiences that</p> <p>transpired in his life as a character.</p>
