La convulsionada existencia de Sissi emperatriz - Parte I
<p>Las películas y textos sobre la<strong> esposa (y prima) del emperador de Austria, Franz Josef l</strong>, idealizan a Isabel de Baviera, más conocida como Sisi, una joven reina que fascinó a sus súbditos por su belleza, elegancia y don de gente.</p> <p>Sin embargo, <strong>Sisi tuvo una existencia dolorosa</strong>. No solo se resistía a los rígidos cánones de la corte austriaca, liderada por su tía, sino que sufrió la extraña muerte de su primo, el rey Ludwig II de Baviera, de su hermana Sofía Carlota en el incendio del Bazar de la Charité (en 1885), la enajenación de su hermana Helena (originalmente elegida para casarse con Franz Josef), el trágico final de su cuñado Maximiliano (fusilado en México) y la locura de Carlota de Bélgica (esposa de Maximiliano), quien pasó el resto de sus días recluida.</p> <p>Para colmo, una de sus hijas murió en la infancia (de allí que desde entonces la educación del resto de su descendencia quedó en manos de su tía y suegra), más la misteriosa muerte de su único hijo varón, Rodolfo, en el sonado caso de “los amantes de Mayerling”. Cada vez que se enteraba de una de estas muertes, Sisi solo murmuraba: “La maldición crece”...</p>
